 history

Born in a rural suburb of Nashville, Cameron fell in love with wrestling at a young age. Her earliest memory was sitting in front of the television, watching Stone Cold Steve Austin in 2001, and right then, she knew she was going to wrestle for a living.Fresh out of high school, Cameron used her part-time retail savings to move near North Carolina and begin her training. Within a year, she was making her debut on the southern independent scene as Kendall Knox — a name chosen in memoriam of her late uncle, with whom she had loved watching old wrestling tapes. That run was short-lived, however, as Japan soon came calling. How do you say no to starting fresh and working with some of the best wrestlers in the world? In 2017, at just nineteen years old, Kendal headed overseas to hone her craft, quickly establishing herself as one of the hardest-hitting gaijins in Japan. Feuds with top names and a tag team run alongside Giulia helped her find her footing, giving birth to an unforgettable character. The Milf Hunter personaskyrocketed in popularity, eventually leading her to a run with the red belt in STARDOM. She leaned into a flamboyant, bombastic fighter style, seeking out alliances and building a massive following within the toxic yuri community. Ultimately, it was her stellar character work and microphone skills that caught the eye of WWE, prompting a call in late 2020.Transitioning to the Performance Center was a challenge, but Kendal found her footing quickly. American wrestling operated at a completely different pace, the new Kendal Rose carved out her path in NXT and rapidly climbed the ranks. High-profile title shots and a brutal feud with Io Shirai cemented her status as one of the best young talents in women's wrestling. When Mandy Rose started having various issues, at NXT Heat Wave 2022, the company pulled the trigger on a heel turn, sliding Kendal into Mandy's spot as the leader of Toxic Attraction. That chapter closed in December when her WWE contract expired and she chose not to renew. Indecisiveness was a recurring theme for Kendal; she could never stay in one place for too long. She missed Japan. From 2022 to 2025, Kendal returned to Japan, reviving the MILF HUNTER persona and made a cross-promotional splash in AEW through their partnership with STARDOM. During that stint, she famously ended Jade Cargill's undefeated streak to capture the TBS Championship, though she lost it to Kris Statlander just days later. Never truly a mainstay in any American promotion, she only returned to NXT in 2025 following Giulia's move to the brand.Kendal's second NXT run saw her return as a vengeful heel, capturing the NXT Women's North American Championship and locking horns with the likes of Thea Hail, Blake Monroe, and Sol Ruca. Her NXT tenure ended with a hard-fought loss against Tatum Paxley before she was called up to SmackDown in early 2026 to team with Giulia—culminating in the pair capturing the WWE Women's Tag Team Championships together.
